PCSB Finance Minor Application

Current PC students in good academic standing (2.0 GPA and above) are invited to apply to minor in finance.

 

The finance minor consists of seven courses:

Required Courses:
ECN 101 – Principles of Economics: Microeconomics
ECN 102 – Principles of Economics: Macroeconomics
ACC 203 – Financial Accounting
FIN 207 – Managerial Finance I (prerequisite ACC 203)
FIN 218 – Financial Markets and Institutions (prerequisite FIN 207)
FIN 317 – Investments (prerequisite FIN 218)

One Finance Elective (select one from):
FIN 211 – Personal Financial Planning
FIN 308 – Managerial Finance II
FIN 320 – Insurance and Risk Management
FIN 417 – Fixed Income Securities
FIN 419 – International Finance
FIN 420 – Corporate Treasury Management
FIN 422- Commercial Credit Risk Analysis
FIN 440 – Options and Futures
FIN 445 – Portfolio Management
FIN 475 – Financial Modeling
Other 400 level finance courses, excluding FIN 450 – Finance Internship or FIN 490 – Independent Study in Finance
