Temporary Parking Permit

Resident students without a parking permit are allowed one temporary permit for up to five evenings per semester and are approved provided space is available. We suggest that you submit requests prior to the first date a permit is needed. Please ensure that the vehicle listed in your request is included in your ARMS Parking App profile (Safari not supported).

Please note that once a vehicle is registered to a student in the ARMS Parking App, that vehicle is exclusively assigned to that student for the remainder of the academic year. It may not be registered, reassigned, or used by another student during the same academic year for any purpose, including the issuance of a temporary permit. Students are prohibited from loaning vehicles or permits to other students in order to obtain a temporary permit, including siblings. Siblings who intend to transfer a vehicle to another sibling for the next academic year may email transportation@providence.edu.

The Office of Transportation will notify you if your request is approved and provide instructions regarding permit pickup. The Office of Transportation will also notify you if your request is not approved, whether it be because of lack of space on campus, duplicate requests for a semester, or if the vehicle isn't listed in the requestor's ARMS Parking App profile.
